About the Seminar:
KrisAnne Hall's Bill of Rights Workshop, The Roots of Liberty is not just another lecture on the Constitution. She presents the 700 year history that gave us our founding documents — proving that our founding documents were not created on a whim and that they are reliable and relevant. It is important to know not only what your rights are, but why you have them. In addition to the history of the Bill of Rights, KrisAnne presents each of the first ten amendments in their context — in the words and history of our founders. KrisAnne is a passionate speaker and has kept crowds attention for hours. This information is a must for all patriots and it must be passed on. If we are to reclaim our nation, we must reclaim our history! (The full workshop is 5 hours presented in 1-hour segments.)
About KrisAnne Hall:
KrisAnne Hall is a former prosecutor and Constitutional attorney who was fired from her job for teaching the Constitution to citizen groups. She is a disabled veteran of the US Army, a Russian linguist, a mother, a pastor's wife, and a patriot. Her former employer, State Attorney for Florida's 3rd Judicial Circuit, gave her a choice - give up her first amendment right to speak on her own time or be fired. KrisAnne said, "my first amendment rights are worth more than a paycheck and I will not surrender them." She now travels the country and teaches the Constitution and the history that gave us our founding documents. Awarded the Freedom Fighter Award by Americans for Prosperity, and the Certificate of Achievement from the Sons of the Revolution for her defense of constitutional principles, Congressman James Blair Award for Defense of the Constitution. Heard of Smith County Justice?
Meet Smith County Politics!
Grassroots America-We The People (Gawtp) held a
press conference today to announce that they are not affiliated
with the Tyler Tea Party. Seriously?
We certainly hope you already know that one!
We don't do petty politics, and we stick with our principles.
All of the time.
One of the major ideals held by the Tea Party Movement is Fiscal Responsibility.
The Tyler Tea Party is against the Jail Bond at this time because it is not responsible to
spend $35 Million dollars during a severe economic downturn. We are against all debt
spending at this time.
The interest alone has been estimated to reach almost $11,000 a day,
which is well over the current expense of shipping inmates out of the county.
Grits For Breakfast is an informative blog on Texas Criminal Justice.
The author questions the numbers too, and then makes it
clear that this makes no economic sense right now!
Don't take our word for it...read the article yourself!

Commissioner's Court that they don't want this?
Vote No!
It's time to say NO again.
Do we need a new jail? Sure!
Do we need to spend OVER $35 Million RIGHT NOW?
NO!
Has the Smith County Commissioner's Court noticed
the rising cost of gas? Apparently not!
Has the Smith County Commissioner's Court noticed
the rising cost of groceries? Apparently not!

Below is a great article from New Zeal dated 04.23.11:
Yes, George Soros was involved in the global elites’ takeover of Argentina which de-industrialized their country, eliminated their middle class and plunged their citizens into massive starvation and unspeakable poverty.
Yes, Argentina’s President and politicians were “in” with the global elites, and their Unions were “in” with the corrupt government officials… just as America’s President Obama, Congress and Unions are “in” with each other, with George Soros and with the other global elites.
That said, what happened in Argentina is what’s happening in America right now.
Argentina was a socialist country whereby the government controlled the means of production and doled out to the people via the “rights” their government granted. Because their government controlled everything, government had the ability to take everything away and sell off the revenue producing sources/resources to the global elites. And that’s just what they did… at bargain-basement prices.
They stripped Argentina of its assets, sold them off to the fat-cat global elites, and they increased Argentina’s national debt through massive out-of-control government spending that could never be repaid. This took money directly out of the pockets of the people in order to put it in their own pockets, to destroy their middle class and plunge the people into poverty – and of course to set the conditions to justify placing Argentina under International Monetary Fund (IMF)/United Nations‘ (UN) control.
In America, Obama has nationalized our banks, our car industry, student loans, healthcare, food, etc. These industries are now ripe and ready for sell-off to the fat-cat global elites.
Obama has added over $4.3 Trillion to our national debt in just 2 ½ years – with a complicit and corrupt Congress. To put that into perspective, it took 233 years to accumulate a national debt of $10 Trillion. In just 2 ½ years, Obama added 30% ($4.3 Trillion) to it through massive, massive spending that has to come directly out of the pockets of American citizens and businesses who already give approximately $2.1 Trillion to the Federal government every year.
Union leaders who brag about their daily interaction with the White House could care less that union employees will lose their jobs; they clearly state their primary objective is to suck as much money out of the government as possible, thus causing our national debt to go even higher in hopes of collapsing States under the weight of such massive government costs.
Now we’re hearing George Soros say that our government needs to spend more (increase our debt further), institute a ‘managed decline’ of our dollar (already in progress), and we hear that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner and the head of the largest private bank in America – the Federal Reserve’s Chairman Ben Bernanke are considering IMF/UN control of America’s economy and transition to a global currency which will abolish the dollar. How many pennies on the dollar do you think the exchange rate will be?
Obama is purposely causing energy prices to skyrocket (just as he promised during the 2008 Presidential campaign) because he will not let oil company’s drill; oil company’s and refineries are closing down operations in America and moving to globalist-favored countries like Brazil. Obama is also putting our coal industry out of business just as he said he would.
Can you see the parallels? Argentina was set up by their government in much the same way that George Soros, Obama and their comrades are setting America up.
A few more parallels on the destruction of Argentina…
Small businesses in Argentina where choked to death because they were being charged 50% interest on small business loans. Clearly the globalists were ensuring complete de-industrialization of Argentina. How easy is it for small businesses in America to get loans right now?
Argentina’s people never got justice and weren’t able to hold their corrupt politicians accountable because the politicians and courts/judges were all in on it and they had all the power. Sound familiar?
While Argentina’s people cried out for their “rights” and expected govt to give them what they were promised (jobs, food, etc.), the government, unions, globalists and public-private globalist corporations got wealthier and more powerful.
Obama, George Soros, Cass Sunstein, Hillary Clinton and their comrades in Congress are writing a new Constitution for America which gives government the power, not the people, to grant “rights” such as jobs, healthcare and food. Once they abolish our current Constitution (which purposely limits government control and places the power in the hands of the people) and institute their New Constitution giving government the power to give and take away our rights, the set-up is complete.
In election after election in Argentina, although the people voted, the candidates they chose from were all part of the global elites so it didn’t matter who won. As potential candidates here in America are being vetted, we see that Progressives pretending to be Republicans are plentiful… Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee included.
This is why potential candidates who know what’s going on, who want to restore our Constitution, and are against the globalists’ takeover of America… like Michelle Bachmann, Allen West and Sarah Palin… must be smeared and destroyed by our government-controlled media and globalist politicians on both sides of the aisle.
What’s happened in Argentina is important for us to know because we have a President whose actions are following the blueprint of destruction that befell Argentina.
America is now a heartbeat away from being sold out to the global elites just as Argentina’s government did to their citizens.
The following 12 part video series tells the tale. Pay particular attention to the American players and global corporations we’re all familiar with. Also notice that the people of Argentina kept waiting for their government to give what they promised and many died as they waited. It wasn’t until they joined with their neighbors and began to occupy land and work together to feed and take care of themselves and each other that they were able to survive.

A meeting was held last night regarding the latest Smith County Jail Plan. We had spoken with Commissioner Jeff Warr about presenting the newest proposal again (he did so last summer, and quite a bit of time has passed after all!). He was in agreement and working on scheduling with us. He was, at that time, fully aware of the composition of our Steering Committee.
Commissioner Warr has now refused to present to our group on the upcoming jail bond issue due to the fact that one member of the Tyler Tea Party Steering Committee (one of 7) was actively opposed to the new plan. While the Commissioner's Court is willing to "sell" the plan to groups all over Smith County, they are not willing to do so where really tough questions may be asked!
We invite you to view the proposed plan online (Click here). We have done so and believe the plan is interestingly short on real details. We also believe that everyone involved needs to be on board and willing to work towards a viable solution before we can support the effort.
There is no doubt that Smith County needs a new jail. That said, various plans have been developed over the last several years and been plagued by bizarre numbers that move around at the Court's will, secret meetings and attempts to get around voters. It really seems that they will tell us anything at this point.
In addition, in spite of major opposition to yet another tax increase last year, the Smith County Commissioner's Court voted to raise taxes anyway. Somehow we are supposed to accept anther small (to them anyway) increase because they want to spend Other People's Money again and go into more debt to do it. This debt mentality has got to stop!
We are currently facing a Federal deficit of $14 trillion and a State deficit of $25 billion. Gas prices are rising with no end in sight. Inflation is now apparent in the grocery store, and experts agree that it has only just started.
Please visit our website for our points of opposition (http://tylerteaparty.org).
The Tea Party movement began partly as a result of overspending by government. Now our county government wants to give us more debt in perilous ecoomic times. At this point, due to the reasons stated above and on our website, Tyler Tea Party, Inc. says
Stop the Debt Mentality
at the Local Level First!!
VOTE NO!
TO MORE DEBT!
Watch out for your wallets folks,
Kevin Eltife is back in session!

Remember this guy? He used to be mayor of Tyler. Now though, he's one of the biggest tax & spend state senators there is!
1. When Obama tried to send stimulus money to Texas, with expensive strings attached, Governor Perry and other conservative legislators said no. Not Kevin Eltife. He sponsored legislation to take the money. When that died in the House, he thought it was "insane" to leave it there!
2. His Fiscal Scorecard with Empower Texans is a pathetic 37%. Basically how that turn out is that he chooses to tax you every chance he gets!
3. Kevin Eltife refused the sign the Taxpayer Pledge. You know, the one where he would promise to oppose any new taxes?
4. One of the first things he did in this 82nd Session was sponsor a bill to increase the Hotel Tax in Tyler. Because making it more expensive to stay here will somehow make more people want to stay here. Huh?
5. That may sound a little loony, but check this out: When asked recently about balancing the state's budget, Mr. Eltife said "It's insane not to use the Rainy Day Fund. We also have to find additional revenue". He also said "There's no other way to do this...Any other idea in this building is crazy to me". Perhaps it would be better for ALL of us if Kevin Eltife LEFT THE BUILDING!
Some legislators understand conservative fiscal policy. In tough times, you have to make some cuts. You have to save where you can. Increased taxes are the last resort. But Kevin Eltife doesn't see things that way. How did this guy get elected??

There has been a lot of talk lately about class action lawsuits against ObamaCare. One being pushed here in Tyler costs $100 to join. In the the interest of fairness, there is another one that doesn't charge money to join. I don't know that any of these lawsuits will be effective. But I do like an attorney willing to work pro bono for the cause of liberty rather than insisting on a million dollars up front. And I would prefer to put my money somewhere besides a lawyer's pocket!
The link below will take you to a website to a class action suit. It currently has 27,000 signers. I'm one of them. Check it out and decide for yourself.

There are many Tea Party demonstrations scheduled for cities across the country on April 15th. Tyler will be among them. Considering the unwarranted (and unsubstantiated) attacks against Tea Partiers in the past year, and the ramping up of the attacks over the last couple of weeks, it would be wise to consider what may be coming and prepare for it. And don't think that Tyler is immune..there have been numerous attempts at misdirection in the local media, the most recent being a severe misquote on the issue of the census.
A recent website (crashtheteaparty.org) indicates just how far the left is willing to go. The plan? Infiltrate demonstrations as Tea Party Patriots and provoke incidents for the sole purpose of providing "proof" of extremism.
With that in mind, we need to do a couple of things:
1. Don't allow yourself (or anyone around you) to be taunted or provoked! This is how they operate...provoke you into saying or doing something that puts the Tea Party in bad light. Please be vigilant here...we must take every precaution to be civil, no matter what! Our best bet? Ignore any inappropriate behavior.
2. Be prepared to record any untoward incident. Bring a video camera and/or voice recorder to record faces and words. This can be used later as proof for civility on the part of Tea Partiers.
Tyler Tea Party will be notifying local police about the rally. We are hoping for a police presence for the purpose of protecting citizens. If there are any incidents, let the police handle it!!
Remember, the left is on the attack. And like a pitt bull, they refuse to let go. If we will have any hope of saving American freedom and values, then we must not use the same tactics as the left. We must take the high road!
In a CNN/Opinion poll, 56% of people questioned said they think the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. Sound ominous? Imagine what it would sound like to our founders! To make the matter more succinct, let's look at the definition of Liberty in the 1828 Noah Webster Dictionary:
Lib'erty, n. (L. libertas, from liber, free)
1. Freedom from restraint, in a general sense, and applicable to the body, or to the will or mind. The body is at liberty, when not confined; the will or mind is at liberty, when not checked or controlled. A man enjoys liberty, when no physical force operates to restrain his actions or volitions.
2. Natural liberty, consists in the power of acting as one thinks fit, without any restraint or control, except from the laws of nature. It is a state of exemption form the control of others, and from the positive laws and the institutions of social life. This liberty is abridged by the establishment of government.
3. Civil liberty, is the liberty of men in a state of society, or natural liberty, so far only abridged and restrained, as is necessary and expedient for the safety and interest of the society, state or nation. A restraint of natural liberty, not necessary or expedient for the public, is tyranny or oppression. Civil liberty is an exemption from the arbitrary will of others, which exemption is secured by established laws, which restrain every man from injuring or controlling another. Hence the restraints of law are essential to civil liberty.
The liberty of one depends not so much on the removal of all restraint from him, as on the due restraint upon the liberty of others.
Are we exempt from the arbitrary will of Congress? Are the laws they are passing necessary or expedient for the public? Congress would have us believe so, but common sense indicates otherwise! Overwhelming public debt can only lead to national ruin. Excessive legislation and regulation stifles growth of business, industry and innovation.
The federal government, formed by the states with specifically enumerated powers, has thrown off the chains that were meant to bind it. The average person has 20-45% (low range of estimates) of the fruit of their labor taken by force through a system of progressive taxation. The citizenry is further taxed in almost every area of life. Our currency has been systematically devalued and is being made worthless as our government is now printing more than has ever been printed! By the definition of Noah Webster, we have entered into a state of tyranny. By the definition of any sane man, we have been in this state of tyranny for many years. And yet, only 56% polled see the threat to their rights and freedoms!
"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." - Daniel Webster
The Democrat majority in Washington DC is threatening the "Nuclear Option" (a 51% simple majority vote) on the Health Care debacle. We've been here before! In 2005 the Repuplicans held the majority and tried the same thing. The Democrats screamed "Foul". Here are some interesting quotes from that time:
"That's just not what the founders intended" - Obama, 04/25/05.
"The nuclear option is ultimately an example of the arrogance of power" - Biden, 05/23/05.
"That's a bridge too far. We can't go there. You have to restrain yourself, Mr. President" - Hilary Clinton, 05/23/05.
"The checks and balances which have been at the core of our Republic are about to be evaporated by the Nuclear Option" - Schumer, 05/18/05.
"You may own the field right now, but you won't own it forever. I pray God when the Democrats take back control we don't make the kind of naked power grab you're doing" - Biden, 05/23/05.
This is a sick and corrupt system populated by hypocrites!!
The Battle of the Alamo began on February 23, 1836. Approximately 1500 Mexican troops descended on the Alamo mission in San Antonio de Bexar. All but two of the Texian defenders perished. Thanks to modern television (or maybe not so modern), many people know about the Alamo. But what do they really know?
The Constitution of the United States of America was still a new document having been signed in 1788. The American Revolution was a recent war. The American settlers had been free "Americans" for only 48 years. And they were used to freedom.
Mexico had been using a Federalist model of government and in 1824 had even adopted a Constitution. President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna was shifting the government away from a Federalist model with increasingly dictatorial policies. In fact, he had revoked the Constitution in 1835. At that time, the area now known as Texas was largely populated by immigrants from the United States. Free people. And those free people spoke up against an increasingly centrist government.
In October of 1835, Texians began ousting Mexican troops. Santa Anna was bent on teaching these upstarts a lesson and headed to Texas to squash the rebellion. He vowed he would take no prisoners. At the time, the Alamo had less than 100 defenders. Sam Houston could not spare the men to mount a successful defense. So he sent Jim Bowie to destroy it. Once persuaded that the Alamo held strategic importance, Jim Bowie chose to stay and defend it, saying "...we will rather die in these ditches than give it up to the enemy."
Santa Anna and his army arrived at the Alamo on February 23 and raised the blood-red flag signifying no quarter, at which time Travis responded with a blast from the Alamo's largest cannon. And the seige began! The Battle of the Alamo lasted 12 days. Reinforcements never came. The vast majority perished.
Despite their losses at the Alamo, the Mexican army still outnumbered the Texian army by almost 6 to 1. Common sense would indicate there was almost no chance of success. But news of the massacre spread and Texians rallied. The battle cry "Remember the Alamo" became a driving force that went with the Texians as they won the Texas Revolution and gained independence from Mexico.
174 years later, Liberty has become a quaint notion. Our own Republic is falling to a centrist ideology. Many Texans think they have no voice, and no choice. In spite of a plethora of facts and historical precedence proving that freedom leads to prosperity, many Americans are unaware of the basic principles of Liberty and the attacks upon it from our Federal Government.
As Texans, we have a particular duty to remember the Alamo. A duty to it's defenders and the sacrifice for Liberty that they made. And we have a duty to our children to pass on a free society. Will we give up our Liberty to those bent on enslaving us with Socialism? Or will we be willing to "die in these ditches rather than give it up to the enemy"? Where is our "line in the sand"? Do you "Remember the Alamo"?
